My Ideas Going into this projects were very straight forward. I wanted to show who I am and what I do in them. But it didn’t work that way, my ideas were changed dramatically! My Prop portrait was my most creative to me. What makes it creative is the angle it was taken at, and of the subject it was on. Finding the right angle to express how I feel and what I’m looking at.
My Compositional decisions were hard ones. It was difficult to try to find the right shadows and lights to complement the picture. My pictures were just spur of the moment thing. What gave my pictures strength was most definitely the shadows and lighting on me and around me. The picture with the best composition was my light portrait. The Lighting on my face just goes so well with the picture.
My craftsmanship in these portraits was pretty good. All of my portraits were just right. Meaning not too dark or not too light. I messed with the ISO a little to get a little more darkness in my pictures. That’s the only thing I really changed on the camera. My strengths in craftsmanship are that I got a steady hand. My weakness is that I tend to forget how to do things on the camera to make I picture better. For example: change the F-stop or shutter speed.
My Overall opinion on my portraits is that they came out really good. I liked the idea of this project. What I would of done different is that I would have had a little more time to think a little harder. If that was the case, I would have stupendously great pictures. My Favorite shot of the four is my prop picture. My Prop picture has me grasping my Varsity baseball jersey and starring off into the field one last time.
